General Information on Guiyang¡¯s Development
Guiyang is the center of politics, economy, and culture and transportation of Guizhou Province. It consists of Nanming district, Yunyan district, Huaxi district, Baiyun district, Wudang district, Xiaohe economic and technological development district, Xintian? high technology development district, Qingzhen City, Xiuwen county, Xifeng county and Kaiyang county. It covers an area of 8,034 square meters with a population of 3.2587 million.
The GDP in 2004 reached 44.363 billion yuan, with a growth of 13.7% compared with the same period of last year if calculated according to the comparable price, which possessed the high level of the amplitude in recent years. Among them, the Add Value of Primary Industry accomplished 3.177 billion yuan, increasing by 7.6%, while the Second Industry achieved 23.324 billion yuan, increasing by 15.6% and the tertiary industry reached 12.862 billion yuan, increasing by 12.3%. The proportion of these three industries is transferring from 7.6£º50.4£º42.0 in last year to 7.2£º52.6£º40.2 in this year. The contribution ratios of these three industries to the economy growth are respectively 4.2%, 60.0% and 35.8%. The Per Capita GDP of the whole city reached 12,683 yuan, up 13% compared with the same period of last year.
A report called ¡°Analytical Report of Real Estate Market Operation from January to September in 2005 in Guiyang City¡± was released by the Bureau of Housing Management . According to the report, influenced by the government¡¯s macro-control, the land supply capacity, newly constructed floor space of commercial buildings, approved prior sale floor space of commercial buildings declined compared with the same period of last year, but the price of the houses were still arising. The average sale price of commercial buildings was 2,300 yuan per square meters, with a growth of 14.6% compared with same period of last year. Among them, the average sale price of houses was 1,980 yuan per square meters, increasing by 8.2%. From January to September in 2005, the total sold areas reached 1.0158 million square meters, decreasing by 80.6%. Among them, the floor space of residential houses reached 406.5 thousand square meters, decreasing by 90.6% compared with the same period of last year. It was pointed out that the construction progress of the commodity estate slowed down and the newly constructed areas of commodity estate declined compared with the same period of last year because of the influence of the control policy and houses deconstruction projects. The areas of commodity estate which were under construction reached 12.2112 million square meters, increasing by 3.8% compared with the same period of last year. The floor space of commercial buildings which were newly constructed were 2.7989 million square meters, decreasing by 9.4%. Among them, floor space of residential houses were 2.3542 million square meters, decreased by 7.2%.
